Annie Duke mightn’t have captured her first World Series of Poker Bracelet until 2004 but she is one of the most powerful poker competitors at the cash games at The Bellagio in sin city. Annie’s longawaited World Series of Poker bracelet came with a win at the "buried game" of Omaha hi/low.

While players from the "younger generation" of poker run wild after a large win at the tables, Annie heads back home and becomes "mom" to her four kids. Annie grew up in New Hampshire and raised into a family of card competitors. If you don’t accept that, watch her brother, Howard Lederer, in action who educated her how to wager on the game.

However, Annie Duke is no small change girl and has won her share of demanding tables, including eliminating Howard along the way on a couple of occasions. They are both competitors that have the capability to acquire the huge bucks and do so with a grin.

Mrs. Duke is a strong player at any table considering that she is a true poker player, but it is a little more than simply being skilled at the game. Mrs. Duke is extremely intelligent and graduated from Columbia U where she double majored in Psychology and English.

When you sit across from her at the poker table you’ll see Annie is there to play the game and she starts "sizing" you up as soon as you join the game table. If you cannot gamble like a camp, then don’t waste your time.

Earning over three million dollars in tournament competitions, Annie Duke became a consultant to both the UltimateBet website and Hollywood actor Ben Affleck, who aspired to hone his abilities and become a power at the poker table.

You might see her at the Bellagio, you will notice Annie on the tv and you may even participate against her in an online poker game, but do not anticipate a simple win. Except of course you are a champion-in-the-making, you’ll not defeat her. However, it’d be fun to say you sat at the at the table with "The Duke".
