Since we are assumingly (almost all of us) playing poker for one purpose – to make money, it would make sense that we would play appropriately to maximize winnings. Now let’s say you are up $100 off of a 100 dollars deposit, and you suffer a big blow in a NL game and your bankroll is at $120. You have burned eighty dollars in a round where you should have picked up $200two hundred dollars when you went all-in on the flop and had a ten to one edge. And that fiend! He bled you dry on the river? – Well hold it right here. This is a quintessential opportunity for a brand-new gambler to begin tilting. They just lost too much $$$$ on one round that they really should have won and they are pissed
