Pai Gow Poker is a cutting-edge game with old origins. Based on the old Chinese domino game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the eastern with the wild west in an awesome game for starting gamblers.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler against the casino, unlike almost all other poker games that players play with other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, beginner players don’t have to be concerned about other, more experienced individuals taking their money.
A further Pai Gow edge is the generally slow game play, newcomers can take their time and plan without having to make hasty selections.
It’s also much simpler to bet on for an extended time with only a small amount of cash after all, to not win, both of your hands needs to be lower than both of the dealer’s hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card common deck and a single joker. The player is assigned 7 cards faces showing and the casino is given 7 cards face down.
One five card hand and one two card hand must be made from the 7 cards dealt, the 5 card hand must be stronger than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be larger than the casino’s.
