Poker has become globally famous lately, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, arcs back in fact a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years numerous types on the earliest poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with blackjack than old guard poker, in that the players wager against the bank rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is little bluffing or other kinds of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up just before the dealer saying "No more bets." At that point, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the other players are given five cards. After you have observed your hand and the casino’s first card, you must in turn make a call bet or accede. The call wager’s amount is akin to your original ante, which means that the risks will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your ante goes immediately to the dealer. After the bet comes the face off. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, plus a figure equal to the ante. If the house does have ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand defeats the dealer’s hand. The dealer pays money even with your bet and fixed odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
