Double-hand Poker is a modern game with old ancestry. Based on the ancient Chinese domino game and the current American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the east with the west in a great game for beginner level players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler against the croupier, unlike almost all other poker games that gamblers wager with other gamblers. By competing against the dealer, beginner players don’t have to fret about any other, more advanced players taking their mulla.
Another Pai Gow benefit is the generally slow game play, rookies can take their time and strategize while not needing to make hasty choices.
It’s also easier to enjoy for a long time with basically a small amount of money seeing as, to lose, both of your hands must be lower than each of the houses hands.
Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card standard deck and one joker. The gambler is assigned 7 cards faces showing and the casino gets seven cards face down.
One 5 card hand and one 2 card hand need to be made from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand must be stronger than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand totals to be better than the dealer’s.
