Pai Gow Poker is a current game with old origins. Built on the ancient Chinese domino game and the current American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the far east with the wild west in a fantastic game for starting gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player against the croupier, unlike most other poker games that gamblers compete with other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, beginner players don’t have to fret about any other, more experienced people taking their mulla.

An additional Pai Gow benefit is the generally slow game pace, novices are able to take their time and strategize without needing to make quick selections.

It’s also easier to gamble on for a long time with just a small bit of cash after all, to lose, both of your hands must be lower than both of the casino’s hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the familiar 52-card basic deck and one joker. The player is dealt seven cards faces showing and the croupier gets seven cards face down.

One five card hand and one 2 card hand must be put together from the 7 cards, the five card hand must be better than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be higher than the houses.
