Poker has become globally acclaimed recently, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back quite a bit further than its TV scores. Over the years several variants on the original poker game have been created, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to blackjack than traditional poker, in that the gamblers wager against the house instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no concealment or different kinds of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up prior to the dealer broadcasting "No further wagers." At that instance, both you and the house and of course all of the other gamblers acquire five cards each. Once you have observed your hand and the bank’s first card, you must either make a call wager or accede. The call wager’s value is equal to your original bet, which means that the risks will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your ante goes directly to the house. After the bet is the conclusion. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, with a figure on par with the original wager. If the house does have ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The casino pony’s up money equal to your bet and controlled expectations on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
