Double-hand Poker is a current game with old origins. Based on the old Chinese domino game and the current American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the eastern with the western in a great game for new gamblers.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler versus the croupier, unlike almost all other poker games that players compete with other gamblers. By playing against the dealer, new players don’t need to worry about any other, more knowledgeable players taking their moolla.
Another Pai Gow advantage is the relatively leisurely game play, novices should be able to take their time and strategize without needing to make frenzied selections.
It is also simpler to gamble on for a long time with only a small bit of cash seeing as, to not win, both of your hands must be lower than both of the dealer’s hands.
Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card standard deck and one joker. The gambler is dealt 7 cards faces showing and the croupier gets 7 cards faces hidden.
A 5 card hand and a 2 card hand must be put together from the 7 cards dealt, the five card hand has to be higher than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be larger than the dealer’s.
